Whatever you do, you need to have a healthy body to deal with. “Love of life” is a responsible attitude to life; disregard for his own life, trampling on someone else’s life is sad, is hateful because he or they bring sorrow, pain, and even hatred.
Sound Physicians, a health care organization focused on improving quality and lowering cost throughout the acute episode of care, announced today an agreement to provide hospitalist services for St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.
St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is a 550-bed tertiary care hospital. The hospital offers residency programs for internal medicine, family medicine, general surgery, transitional and dental care. It is the only Level I Trauma Center in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys. Sound Physicians will recruit a team of physicians who will lead performance improvements and inpatient care. St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is a part of Mercy Health — and the sixth facility in the health system that Sound Physicians has partnered with.
“Mercy Health has had a longstanding and successful relationship with Sound Physicians and we are excited to bring their services to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital,” said Robert Schroder, president and chief executive officer of Mercy Health – Youngstown.
Robert Bessler, M.D., chief executive officer of Sound Physicians, added, “We have a strong presence in Ohio and throughout the Midwest. Our physicians are highly engaged in providing the best possible health care for the St. Elizabeth community. Our proven workflows and regional infrastructure will enable patient care to be the best it can possibly be at St. Elizabeth.”
Sound Physicians will manage the team of physicians at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Working with the hospital’s administrative team, Sound Physicians will introduce its SoundConnect workflow and communication platform to drive improvement in outcomes and foster effective communication as it fulfills its vision of being the leader at improving quality and lowering the cost of care for patients in the communities it serves.
